Karen L. Berry
Owner / Certified Mediator
Karen is an experienced certified mediator in basic and family mediation with several hundred hours of experience which include permanency and IDEA mediations. She has worked with several local associations such as the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma County Bar Association to promote the use of mediation as a service for clients with limited resources. Throughout her career as a mediator, she has worked with many law students at both Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma as an assistant trainer and as mentor for the Oklahoma Supreme Court Alternative Dispute Resolution program and as a judge for client counseling and mediation competitions for the University of Oklahoma.
During and after graduating from the Oklahoma City University Law School, Karen worked for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s office in the criminal and juvenile divisions and has also been involved in civil litigation matters throughout the years with a private law firm. She has served as a volunteer, mentor and community supporter for many youth and family organizations including McClain and Garvin County Youth and Family Services, Youth Cornerstone Inc., The United Way, Positive Tomorrows, Youth Services, and the Oklahoma City Arts Festival. Karen is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Auxiliary and serves as Co-Administrator of the Cleveland County First Choice Recovery Family Drug Court in Norman.
